Bike tour on flat to slightly hilly terrain. The Elbe Cycle Route offers the opportunity to follow one of Germany’s most beautiful rivers without any traffic. Other sections of the route lead along smaller country roads and quiet paths through the varied landscape.

Individual arrival in Dresden. You will receive your bike and important information for the cycling tour in the late afternoon. Use the time afterwards to stroll through Dresden’s old town!

The cycle path takes you along the Elbe and past Pillnitz Castle to Pirna. The old town with its market square and St. Mary’s Church is charming. The Canaletto House is dedicated to the painter Canaletto. Every Monday from 2:00 p.m., you can take part in a guided tour of Pirna.

Winding paths through romantic valleys lead you to Radebeul, the town of Karl May. From here, the Lößnitztalbahn railway takes you to Moritzburg, where you can visit the famous moated castle. You cycle back to Dresden through the Friedewald nature reserve and the Moritzburg pond area.

Explore Dresden’s sights outside the old town on a city tour: the Elbe castles, Pfund’s dairy, the Blue Wonder bridge, and the Transparent Factory are just a few of the highlights along the way.

The Elbe Cycle Route takes you to Meissen. In addition to the porcelain factory, Meissen Cathedral and Albrechtsburg Castle are also worth seeing. It is considered to be Germany’s first castle. A boat will take you back to Dresden in the afternoon.

Enjoy the view of the Elbe from the Bastei, conquer Königstein Fortress with its magnificent panoramic view. Take a rowboat ride through the Edmundsklamm gorge, or go on a short bike ride through the national park. The unique landscape has been inspiring visitors for generations! (Train ride included)
