The Prosecco region is characterized by conical, lush vineyard hills, framed by the Treviso Alps to the north and the Piave plain to the south. It is a land full of fascination, history and art, with often unexpected surprises in the valleys or in the many villages and towns scattered here and there. It is easy to get lost in search of the thousand-year-old traces of man and his culture. Viticulture has ancient roots here. The first written record associated with Prosecco dates back to 1772. Although there are sparkling wines all over Italy, only the products of this region, which come from the typical Prosecco grape, can bear the euphonious name.
Route
This tour is designed as an e-bike tour and is therefore an easy bike tour for everyone, on bike paths and side streets with little traffic. Recommended for children aged 14 and up.
Individual arrival in Vittorio Veneto.
The tour starts with a route through the hills of Treviso and the Venetian Prealps. You will pass Lake Revine in Valmareno and cross Follina, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. A detour to the Osteria Senz’Oste will give you a view of the hilly landscape and steep vineyards.
Today’s destination is Bassano del Grappa, at the foot of the mountain of the same name. On your way, you will pass various towns that invite you to linger. Once in Grappa, you should definitely see the famous wooden bridge and the numerous Grappa distilleries.
Today’s stage takes you from Bassano del Grappa to Asolo, which is famous for its Asolo Prosecco. From there, you cycle through paths lined with vineyards, small villages, typical taverns and wine cellars to Susenga. Before you reach your stage destination of Pieve di Soligo, you will pass the impressive San Salvatore Castle.
Today you start in the direction of Molinetto della Croda, an old water mill from the 17th century, which you should not miss out on visiting. Continue through the vineyards and past villages such as Corbanese, San Pietro di Feletto and Rua di Feletto to Conegliano. The city is an important regional hub between Venice, Udine and Cortina. Take enough time to visit the city before returning to Vittori Veneto.
