At the beginning uphill, from day 3 onwards mostly flat or downhill. You ride on quiet side roads, forest and farm tracks. Paths are partly unpaved.

The first stage takes you along the Vltava River and Berounka to Karlstein Castle, which towers high above the namesake town. The route continues through the beautiful nature reserve of the Berounka Basin before you reach today’s destination.

On today’s stage you’ll see some of Czech Republic’s architectural highlights: a 14th-century stone bridge, a beautiful water-iron mill, and a stunning hunting lodge in the Kornatický potok Nature Park are among the sights along today’s route. The stage destination is the city of Pilsen, also known as the center of the Czech brewing industry. Don’t miss the local breweries or the beer museum!

Before you start pedaling, it’s worth taking a detour to Pilsen city center: visit the third-largest synagogue in the world or enjoy the view of the city and countryside from the highest church tower in Czechia. Then follow the route south to the Memorial to the Victims of Communism. Along the Radbuza River, you will cycle through a small nature reserve to Dobřany and Chotěšov with its impressive monastery. Continuing along the Radbuza, you will reach Horšovský Týn – a charming town with a castle, palace, and beautiful main square. After a final climb, you will reach Domažlice, the historic center of the Chodové. The 13th-century town impresses with its lively culture, old customs, and its striking town square with a watchtower. Here, your day comes to an atmospheric end.

Your bike tour starts through the former border area in the direction of Furth. On the way between Furth and today’s destination you will cycle along the beautiful rivers Chamb and Regen until you finally reach Roding, a hidden pearl of the Regental.

On the last day of the tour you will cycle along the river Regen to your final destination Regensburg. The route leads through various impressive nature reserves and past numerous castle ruins until you finally reach the historic city of Regensburg.
