This tour is ideal for beginners and families. The route mainly takes you alongside the river Drau and there are no steep inclines. The bicycle path is well marked.

Individual arrival in Sillian and check-in at the hotel. Enjoy the amenities of your hotel or, if you arrive early, take a bike trip to the source of the Drau River in Dobbiaco in South Tyrol (approx. 33 km there and back).

Today, the beautiful Drau Cycle Path takes you directly along the river, accompanied by the impressive panorama of the Dolomites, to the charming largest town in East Tyrol, Lienz. You cycle leisurely through decorated villages to Berg im Drautal.

Following the Upper Drau Valley, you will ride partly along the riverbank and partly a little further away through small villages, passing the Roman excavations in Lendorf. In Spittal/Drau, the unique Renaissance castle of Porcia is well worth a visit.

Today, you will cycle downstream to Villach, a city with a southern flair. Halfway there, take a break at one of the most beautiful snack bars with its own fruit press on the Drau Cycle Path. Once you arrive in Villach, the best way to experience this lively city is with an aperitif on the main square.

Today, Carinthia’s largest and most famous swimming lake is on the agenda. At Rosegg, you leave the Drau Cycle Path and cycle to Lake Wörthersee. Take a break in the popular seaside resort of Velden, stroll along the beach promenade between the casino and the castle, and enjoy a drink. Continue along the Wörthersee Cycle Path to Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia, where we recommend a stroll through the old town.

Passing through the pilgrimage site of Maria Rain, you will return to the Drau Cycle Path. Enjoy the impressive landscape as you ride through the beautiful, unspoiled Rosental valley. At the end of your cycling tour, Lake Klopeiner See, considered the warmest swimming lake in Europe, awaits you.
